Arlette Zargarian, LMFT
Hi, I’m Arlette. I’m so glad you’re here!
If you are looking for a compassionate trauma therapist or EMDR therapist who will meet you with warmth, respect, and understanding, you are in the right place. Reaching out for trauma therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you have been carrying painful memories or distressing life experiences for a long time. My goal is to create a safe space for healing where you feel supported, understood, and truly heard.

Life can feel overwhelming when you are carrying pain from the past, feeling disconnected from yourself, or trying to move forward while feeling stuck. If you are here, you may be looking for a place where you can finally exhale, feel understood, and begin to make sense of what you have been carrying on your own.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in corporate and entertainment settings, including at Warner Bros. and Disney. Although that chapter offered valuable experiences, I gradually realized that external success did not bring the fulfillment I was searching for. My own life stressors eventually led me to therapy, where I began a personal journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth. That experience changed the direction of my life and helped me understand, in a deeply personal way, how meaningful therapy can be.
I returned to school with curiosity, humility, and a desire to understand people more deeply. I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute, with additional training in co-occurring disorders and trauma treatment. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings, including treatment centers, inpatient psychiatric care, homeless shelters throughout Los Angeles County, and court-related work with youth and families.
As my work developed, I pursued advanced training in EMDR and became a certified practitioner. I also became deeply interested in neurofeedback and brain-based approaches to healing. Through my training with Amen Clinics and my board certification in neurofeedback, I have continued to expand the ways I support clients in understanding emotional health through a compassionate, whole-person lens. My learning continues to grow, and I remain committed to integrating EMDR, neurofeedback, and trauma-informed approaches to help clients process difficult experiences and reconnect with their inner strengths.
This work is more than a profession for me, it is my passion. I continue to be inspired by the courage people bring into therapy and by the possibility of healing, insight, and growth.
My own journey continues to shape the way I show up in the therapy room: with warmth, curiosity, compassion, and deep respect for each person’s story. In our work together, you can expect a steady, supportive space where we move at a pace that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative.
I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, loneliness, self-doubt, and emotional pain. My approach is collaborative and individualized, and I tailor therapy to each client’s needs, goals, and pace.
Together, we can explore the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be keeping you stuck while helping you reconnect with your strengths, values, and inner wisdom. My hope is to support you as you move toward feeling more grounded, connected, and whole.
If my approach feels like a good fit, I invite you to reach out when you feel ready. You do not have to take the next step alone.
